Article Marketing Automation (AMA) and My Article Network (MAN) are 2 of the most popular blog & articles networks that you can use to achieve tons of backlinks and get better search engine rankings.
The thing about both of these services is that they use exactly the same network of blogs and directories but are operated by different companies. This means that you have no reason to sign up for both and you should only pick one of the 2.
So, which one is better? Does it really matter if they are both using the same network of blogs and directories? Well, the fact is that one of the two is far better to sign up with than the other and in this post I will reveal which of them you should sign up with and why I came up to that conclusion.
Update – Don’t Use Either Of These Networks (September 2011)
At the time I wrote this post My Article Network was a big part of my link building efforts but with SEO, thing always change and you need to keep up with the changes if you want to keep on getting great results.

How Do They Work?
The simple idea behind both services can be summarized like this:
“With My Article Network/Article Marketing Automation, you’ll be able to force-feed YOUR content onto over 10,000 blogs across the internet and quickly build authority sites and one-way backlinks faster than any other service online… Guaranteed!”
It is a very simple process but a very powerful one and there is no doubt that by submitting articles to these networks you will be able to build tons of backlinks and move higher in the rankings. How fast you will see results will depend on how many articles you submit and mostly on the level of competition of the desired keyword phrase you are looking to rank for.
AMA & MAN Similarities
As I mentioned, both Article Marketing Automation and My Article Network are using exactly the same blog network of 10,000 plus blogs so there are many similarities between them.

The Article Submission Interface
Both Article Marketing Automation and My Article Network have almost identical article submission interface with only one very big difference which I will elaborate on in the differences.
They have the same categories to choose from, they both use the same spin syntax which is:

- Left Bracket [
- Right Bracket ]
- Separator |
In both you will need to add up to 4 tags and in both you will be able to add YouTube video URL and Link Anchor Text (I never added videos…).
As you can probably understand, both services are very much alike and after personally using Article Marketing Automation for some time, it was very easy for me to move to My Article Network.
While both service are 99% similar there is still some difference that made me switch from AMA to MAN.
AMA & MAN Differences
There are 2 main differences between the 2 services that will make the decision to signup with My Article Network a very easy one.
Difference #1
Article Marketing Automation is limiting the number of live article you can have at any given time to 40. This is a new edition to the service which really takes the kick out of it and was the main reason I decided to switch to My Article Network as they don’t have this limit and you are free to submit as many articles as you want.
As you probably know, I am using the Ultra Spinnable Articles for pretty much everything I do with SEO. With the power of the USAs I can easily submit 40 articles in one day so having such a limit really hurts my link building efforts.
Difference #2
This is something I only learned about after I made the switch and started using My Article Network.
In Article Marketing Automation you are required to enter a Cpatcha every time you add a new article. This is not a big deal when you add one or 2 article a day but when you add dozens each day this really becomes a serious pain in the bu…
With My Article Network you don’t need to enter no Captchas. This is truly a serious improvement for me and it really saves me a lot of time. This might sound funny to you, but in the entire article submission process entering the Captcha is probably the step that takes me the longest.
My Choice Is…
As I already mentioned, my choice between the two and my personal winner is My Article Network.
AMA 40 articles limit is a deal breaker for me and the lack of Captcha solving in My Article Network is a huge bonus in my book.
As you probably know, the main network I am using for article submissions is Unique Article Wizard and that is the first recommendation I will give for an article submission blog and article directory network.
But, since I am looking for more ways to improve my link building campaigns and diversifying the sources I am getting links from, my second choice will be My Article Network.
How I Make The Most Out Of MAN
Writing articles sucks. I am sure many of you will agree with me. I personally hate it and this is the main reason I am a long time member of Vita Vee’s Ultra Spinnable Articles service.
Using these very powerful articles together with The Best Spinner allows me to submit dozens of articles (and each one of them has 3 links back to my websites) to AMA and now MAN and build huge amounts of links in a very short period of time.
Here is an image from about 2 months ago showing my AMA stats. I was stupid enough not to save the current stats I have before canceling my membership so this is the only stats I can show you, but you can still see how powerful the USAs are. The following stats are over a period of 3 weeks.

Starting to use the Ultra Spinnable Articles has truly been a game changer for me over the past 2-3 months and I really don’t know how link building and article marketing can be done without the USAs.

How are you inserting your Ultra Spinnable Articles on My Article Network? When I try and do this and view it looks like it does not accept this format and shows 0% re written for both title and body any tips? On ALN it seems dead easy but on My Article Network not so.

I would guess that you are not changing the spin syntax when you are submitting to My Article Network. The spin syntax is different than the default one the Ultra Spinnable Article use. Here is the spin syntax that is supported by MAN:

Hi, I use The Best Spinner to change the spin syntax of an article so if you have it you can use it. If not, you can try spinnertools as I am sure one of the options there will fit the spin syntax of MAN. Doing it manually with notepad is the last thing I would recommend you do.
Thats taken the % to – The title of the article is 222% rewritten, and the body is 30% rewritten so is much better.

Yes, I think the body % should be higher than 30%. Are you using the Ultra Spinnable Articles or the Ultra Spinnable Minis and are you submitting the original article or a flat spin version of it?

And I would recommend you use Flat Spins of your minis as this will allow you to submit more articles from the same original mini. Simply create several flat spins and submit those instead of only submitting the original article.

I doubt the effectiveness of all of them… and I avoid ALL blog networks and ALL article marketing sites. All exist for one purpose and that is to fluctuate rank in Google . The only time I ever seen these link building networks praised is when the writer is making money on their so-called review as a affiliate. Frankly, nothing pisses me of more than some blogger putting their affiliate link attached to a review.

Are you doubting the effectiveness because you tried using these networks and didn’t see any results or are you simply doubting them out of principles without any good reason? I can tell from my own experience that these networks and services work. Check some of my Rankings in Google for this blog and see. It doesn’t fluctuate, It is pretty constant.
If seeing an affiliate link on a review is what pisses you most, I guess you live in paradise or something. I would only guess you are one of those ‘haters” that just hate seeing other people making money where you can’t (it is only an educated guess but I could be wrong, and if I am, sorry in advance).

In terms of AMA I saw they only drip feed each article at a rate of 1-4 submissions per day. I find this to be extremely slow. Is it the same case of it’s sister network?

I’m curious why you stopped using MAN. In your update above, you mentioned only that there are much better options. What about MAN compared so poorly to the other services?

I think UAW, ALN and AR are better networks that provide better results and so I moved on to using them and stopped using MAN.
Hey Dave Thanks for this great review. I am currently using the unique article wizard for backlinks and I am thinking of submitting 50 articles per day at a pace of 50 sites per day until I submit 1000 articles (20 days) for the two keywords I am targeting right now… Is that too many links? Will that get my site sandboxed?
Also I have $250 to play with this month on article marketing tools… Which other link building tools do you suggest I add to my toolbox along with UAW?

Hi Aaron, I don’t know your keywords and their level of competition but 1000 articles does sound a little too much especially if they will all come from UAW. You need to diversify your links and use more link building methods/services.
