Authority Link Network is the new “kid” on the blog network block. It serves the same purpose as all of the other blog networks which is to submit articles with your links and get them submitted to the blogs on the network providing you with backlinks from various IP addresses.
ALN REVIEW UPDATE, January 2012
There have been quite a few changes and updates to the Authority Link Network since I wrote this review. Each update or change is going to be marked with UPDATE so be sure to check that so you will get the most accurate information about Authority Link Network.

What Makes Authority Link Network Different?
There are five main differences between Authority Link Network (ALN) and all the other blog networks:
Free To Join*
As strange as this might sound to you, ALN is free to join. There is a catch however and in order to figure it out you will need to keep reading. Also, it seems that it will not stay free forever and it will move into a monthly based network but I don’t yet know when that will happen so take advantage of the fact that it is sill free.
UPDATE: ALN is still free to join and you can do so here but you can now upgrade your ALN subscription plan. There are 3 paid subscriptions you can choose from:
These new plans mean that you don’t have to add PR domains to the network in order to be able to use it. You can choose either of the 3 plans or you can stay on the free plan. With the free plan you are no limited to adding a max of 3 domains to the network so if you are planning on adding blogs, be sure to add the appropriate PR blog so you will get the daily submissions you are looking for.
As you can probably see, the main benefit of the paid plans is the ability to add more blogs to the network rather than being able to submit more daily articles. This makes sense as ALN is still looking to grow with high more high PR blogs.
Add PR Blogs
You are required to add your own PR blogs to the network in order to be able to submit articles and get backlinks. The blogs you add to ALN must be with a minimum of PR1.
UPDATE: As I mentioned above, free users can now add a max of 3 blogs to the system and if you would like to add more domains you will need to upgrade to one of the paid subscriptions plans. The basic plan will allow you to add 30 more blogs to the system and I think it would be more than enough for most users.
Article Submission Limits
ALN has built in article submission limits which are based on the number of sites you added to the network and their PageRank.
- Add a PR 1 or PR 2 sites: Your submission limit will be increased by 1 articles per day.
- Add a PR 3 sites: Your submission limit will be increased by 2 articles per day.
- Add a PR 4 sites: Your submission limit will be increased by 4 articles per day.
- Add a PR >5 sites: Your submission limit will be increased by 10 articles per day.
UPDATE: ALN has moved to a point based system and here are the new submission rules:
- Add a PR 1 sites: Your submission limit will be increased by 0.5 points.
- Add a PR 2 sites: Your submission limit will be increased by 1 points.
- Add a PR 3 sites: Your submission limit will be increased by 1.5 points.
- Add a PR 4 sites: Your submission limit will be increased by 3 points.
- Add a PR >5 sites: Your submission limit will be increased by 6 points.
One point means you can submit one article. Pretty easy and simple to understand. With the new limit of adding 3 blogs to the system as a free user I wouldn’t recommend you waste 2 of those domains on PR1 sites. Try adding PR2 and above if you can.
15 Submission Limit
Each article you submit to the network will contain 3 anchor text links and will only be submitted 15 times. Unlike most of the blog networks ALN sets an upper limit to your article publishes and it is currently set to 15.
No Control On Content Published On Your Sites
With ALN you have no control on the content that is being published on the sites you add to the network. There is no category selection process in which you specify what topics you want to be published on your own sites. What this basically means is that you should only submit sites that you really don’t care about to this network and NEVER add your own money sites.
The Concept Behind Authority Link Network
As you can probably understand form the above mentioned differences, ALN is all about providing high quality links and they do that by not having any PR0 blogs in the network and with the article submission limits they provide incentive to add high PR blogs/sites to the network.
This does seem to be a very good concept and it does set ALN apart from all the other blog networks, but the most important questions is:
Does It Work?
In order to check this I decided to run some tests and promote some of my blog posts using only ALN submissions. I added three PR3 sites to the network so I can submit a maximum of 6 articles a day and this is exactly what I did for 6 days.
Each article had 3 links inside pointing to 3 different blog posts on my blog. In total I submitted 6 articles a day for 6 days. Here are the results so far for each of the 3 keywords (2 not so competitive and one very competitive):
Andre Chaperon

The number of links according to Market Samurai’s Rank Tracker module went from 7 to 195.
Autoresponder Madness

The number of links according to Market Samurai’s Rank Tracker module went from 87 to 280.
Market Samurai

The number of links according to Market Samurai’s Rank Tracker module went from 1142 to 1295.
Other Results
By checking the pingbacks I got to my blog I managed to see some of the blogs that are part of this network. First thing that you should know is that your articles may also be submitted to the blogs you added to the network which in my opinion should not happen or at least ALN should include an option to prevent that.
From this quick check, I also learned that they are indeed PR0 sites on this network as I found my articles and links on PR0 domains. I am not talking about the specific page my article was published but about the home page of that domain. This is quite understandable as blogs can lose their PR but the good thing is that every once in a while a check will be made and all PR0 sites will be removed from the network.
Keep in mind that the articles I submitted were Ultra Spinnable Articles so it really only took me a few minutes to submit the 6 articles every day. I used a different article for each day but all the 6 daily submissions were a different flat spin of the same article.
UPDATE: New Submission Rules
Authority Link Network was really great when it got started but as it got bigger, spam has become a real issue. Since there was no real oversight on the content that is being submitted by the users it quickly became very spammy and that seemed like a big problem.
The good news is that I wasn’t the only one to notice that and Maulana has added new submissions rules that should address this issue and make the content being submitted to the network better. Here are the 3 main rules that were added:
- Automatically reject article body & title with incorrect spin syntax
- Automatically reject article with less than 100 spyntax brackets
- Automatically reject article without paragraph
The one I want to focus on is number 2 as the other two are quite easy to understand. What rule number 2 means is that every article you sumbit to the network has to have a minimum of 100 of the following characters – { | }. As you can probably understand, these are the spin syntax characters and this rule is meant to make sure the articles being submitted are simply more spun so that every version being created will be more unique.
The problem is that if you are using the Ultra Spinnable Articles and submitting flat spins, that won’t work anymore as the flat spins have less than 100 of the needed characters. The fix for this issue is quite simple. Take the flat spin and plug it into The Best Spinner and run Everyone’s Favorites on it. Here is a screenshot showing how I set it up. You can even make the max synonyms lower (2 or 3).
Doing this will add more spin to your article and it will now pass the 100 character rule. It only takes 10 seconds to do this so that really isn’t a big deal and the more important thing to remember, is that this new rules are a great addition as they will lower the spam being submitted to the network which will only make it better for its users.
Updated Conclusion
Authority Link Network is a great blog network in my opinion and I have been using it daily since it was released. The fact that you can still use for free to some extent is great as I was sure it will move into a monthly payment plan long time ago. Being able to use if for free but also being able to upgrade in order to get more submissions and increasing the blog limits is great as it covers just about anyone that would want to use it.
The new submission rules are also a great addition as they will reduce the spam that is was being submitted to the network and that will keep it a quality network for the months to come. It is quite easy to lose track on the content being submitted when a blog network grows and these new rules should make it easier.
Here is something I wrote in the first conclusion:
Since it is free and if you have the PR domains to spare than you might want to give it a try and share your results with us. I am sure that Authority Link Network will keep improving and adding more and more blogs to the network and I do find the concept behind it quite interesting.
As I suspected, ALN did grow and it now has almost 13,000 blogs in the network (January 5th, 2012) and the concept of being able to use if for free is still there.
If you don’t have any high PR domains than you can simply go to Digital Point Forums and buy a PR3 domain for $30-$50. One PR3 domain will cost you less than what all the other blog networks charge monthly and a PR3 domain together with a PR1 domain added to the network will give you 2 article submissions a day that will be published a total of 30 times, each with 2 anchor text links meaning you will get 60 backlinks every day.
As I mentioned earlier, I am using Authority Link Network on a daily basis for months now and I think it is a great blog network. I would recommend you give it a try and see how it works for you.
To your success (and mine
)

Dave,
I just started with ALN and I agree with your review. The one thing that concerns me is that the majority of the posts on my sites from the ALN network range from poorly spun to gibberish. I know you’re still testing ALN, but does this seem to affect your results? I like to have readable content on all my sites, but I guess I could let this slide if the results were still good.
Patrick recently posted..Lifestyle Choices to Have Young-Looking Skin – Part 3
Hi Patrick, I am also seeing the same thing and I am also concerned about it. The results are still there but if they will not do something about the quality of the content they publish on sites I fear ALN will be short lived.
Well, it will be short lived for me. I have had 3 emails back and forth with their support and, while they answered quickly and were helpful, they eventually said there was nothing they could do about the quality of the content. I have gotten about 20 posts a day on the one blog I put on their network as a test. That’s way too much – and it’s almost all gibberish.
I do not understand one thing. How could you submit ultra spinnable articles on your keywords (phrases). Did you find such an articles on leading articles marketplace?
John
Hi John, not sure I understood the question. I am using the Ultra Spinnable Article as adding links inside even if the article is not 100% relevant to the links.
Got it. It is a bit strange to me. If you promote your blog’s pages via ALN and use USA. Is that working with not relevant articles too? Because I think the USA articles not about the topic of your blog post. I’m asking because I’d use USA stuff on ALN and HiPRSociety.com with cruising and other travel sites of mine. Would it work?
It is working for me with not relevant articles and I recommend you try it out and see how it works for you. That is the only real way to find out.
Hi Dave,
I think what John means is: How do you use the Ultra spinnable articles if they are not
om toppic. And how do you get the keywords in if that is the case.
Ben
Hi Ben, I use the MTUSP’s in order to add links to the Ultra Spinnable Articles. They make it real easy to add any link you want into the article, no matter how irrelevant it is to the topic of the article.
Hi Dave, how do you use the MTUSP’S with ALN? since ALN does not allow html code in the condent, i am trying to use this hetwork for the first time with the USA’s and finding it quite confusing to use the MTSUP’s.
Hi Tony, not sure I understand your problem. I don’t have any problem using the MTUSP’s with ALN.
Dave, sorry if i didn’t make myself clear, but what i mean is that when you use MTSUP’s it adds the a href tag in your content body with your anchor text, i like using this for article submission because it makes your keywords sound more natural even if your article is unrelated to your keywords, However ALN will not allow the a href tag in your article body, is not a big deal because i simple use their format provided as keyword1, keyword2 etc, i was just wondering how you managed to get the MTUSP’s in your content accepted, while mine flags up an error.
I simply put the tags ALN needs for the keywords (%LINK1%…) instead of the a href and anchor text when I add the MTUSP’s. I than add the URL and Keyword in the ALN add article interface.
What do you mean by saying if you add a pr 1 blog you shall have your submissions increased by 0.5 points? Increased from what? How many articles can you add to the network per day if you have a pr 1 blog?
Thanks!
Felix
Hi Felix, 1 point allows you to submit 1 article. So adding one PR1 site won’t be enough. You will need two PR1 sites in order to submit one article a day.
Hi Dave,
What are you views on the new ALN rules on the 24th December and in particular the “automatically reject article with less than 100 spyntax brackets” rule which means you can no longer flat spin articles in the way you described before which I presume is going to change things?
What’s your views?
Thanks,
S.
Hi Steve,
I didn’t go over all the rules yet and what the mean but once I will I will surly let you know what I think.
About the rule you mentions, you will just need to use the original article. From what it looks, it seems that ALN are making some changes in order to become a better blog network which is a good thing even if it means it will be a little harder to submit articles. ALN was very easy with articles submitted and it allowed very low quality articles to be approved. I guess the new rules are a step in changing that.
I just heard about ALN last night and it looks promising. Thanks for the insight on what results you’ve experienced. And even if it’s a little harder to submit content, it’ll sure be a lot easier than trying to add comments on blogs using your keyword in the name field!
Dave,
i am using ALN for a long time already and i think it’s very good. In fact, it’s one of the main things i am using for my own link building.
(I would make a comparison to articleranks, but i can’t since i have a free articleranks account and it seems distribution on articleranks is very limited with a free account., never more than 25 and i am not sure about their index rate either.)
As for ultra spinnable articles, with ALN it’s as easy as simply copy/pasting them in. Overall very easy to use and i see good results using ALN.

Thanks for the review Dave, I hadn’t even heard of ALN.
I was all ready to sign up for BMR but I’ll give this a go first. I’ve just signed up using your aff’ link
Hi Mark, glad I was able to help but you should know that ALN and BMR are quite different even though they are both blog networks.
Hi Dave,
Can you elaborate on this a little more as I`m looking to try this, do you mean take the flat spin of the USA`s seed article and after running Everyone’s Favorites on it you can then use these flat spins like before? I`m confused even though it sounds simple?
“Take the flat spin and plug it into The Best Spinner and run Everyone’s Favorites on it. Here is a screenshot showing how I set it up. You can even make the max synonyms lower (2 or 3).”
Thanks…
Hi Andrew, it seems you got it. Not sure what you want me to elaborate on
It is as simple as it sounds. Just do it once and you will get the idea.
Hey there, I’m having a problem with MTUSP and ALN, since MTUSP places more than 3 links in the spinnable article in different places, while ALN only allows 3 links in the spinnable article, that is, I get an error if I used LINK1,LINK2 or LINK3 more than once in ALN. I’m wondering how you get around that.
I am using the Premium MTUSPs and I don’t have that problem. If you don’t have access to these MTUSPs I recommend you purchase 1 credit and get a premium USA so you will get access to the premium MTUSPs.
These are much more spinnable than the regular MTUSPs and they don’t have the same issue as with the intro MTUSP that produces 2 links.
What I mean is that the resulting article would contain no more than 3 links, but MTUSP would insert the link more than 3 times in the spinnable article. While ALN checks the spinnable article, not the resulting article.
Hi Dave,
Just submitted my first article to ALN but could you just clarify how you got your articles for the 6 day submit? You mention that your daily submissions were a different flat spin of the same article.
Do you mean that you are taking the same nested spin and turning it into different flat spins and then submitting?
If I take a regular article and flat spin it can I then submit this same flat spin article 6 days in a row or do I have to go for a different article?
Great blog by the way.
Hi Rob,
What I meant is that I took the master Ultra Spinnalbe Article and created various flat spins from that same master article and submitted them.
I hope that answers your question. If not, let me know
Hi Dror
It sounds as If I have the same problem as some of the other guys since ALN changed the rules about the flat spins and minimum of 100 characters where before it was easy for me.
Now when I take the seed article from USAs and even when I follow your “simple” replace everyone’s favorites as you explain ALN rejects it after replacing and then trying flat spins? I have tried and tried would you be able to help and perhaps do a step by step?
Thanks so much.
Hi Mark,
1. If you submit the article as is (not the flat spin) you won’t have any problems.
2. In order to use the Flat Spin you will need to load it into TBS.
3. Open the Replace Everyone’s Favorites and check everything is like the screenshot I posted in the review.
4. And that’s it.
I just checked it again to make sure it still works and it does. Not sure where and how you got it wrong but try it again and it should work.
What about non English users? I look for some people who have experience by using ALN for foreign sites. What about possibility to use foreign anchor texts?
Dave, do you still use ALN or something has changed?
Hi Michal, I don’t know about using it with foreign sites since I haven’t tried it yet and yes, I am still using ALN as part of my overall link building process.
Thanks.
Hello, i just want to say that ALN is fantastic. Also i want to recommend a new and free blog network similar to ALN called Blog Authority Network. I got excellent results and they are growing every day. The link : http://www.blogauthoritynetwork.net
Thanks
Thanks for letting us know Diane. It’s a little concerning that that site only has 4 links to it in majestic but I’ll always give free a shot!

Hey Buddie. Nice Blog you have.
I was wondering if your sites were Affected using Authority Link Network with the last Google Panda Update??.
I’ve got penalized with one of my sites but I think it was because I was using it too quickly
Hi Rick, I used ALN to promote many pages on this blog and other sites and I did notice a drop in rankings on some pages on this blog but I can’t really say that it is because of ALN since I also used other link building methods and services.
Do you have to submit a website having Page Rank only once or every month?
Hi Ankur, unless they made some changes (which I don’t think so) once you submit a site it will count for you as long as it keeps its PR so you don’t have to submit new sites every month.
Hi Dror,
I think is the end of ALN and Blog Networks.
Google is de-indexing the most popular networks. I received 3 messages from Google Webmaster Tools for 3 different websites that I’m building unnatural links to my websites.
It is best to stay away from these networks and begin building a new backlinking strategy.
Hi Gus, there is no doubt that something has changed but I wouldn’t say all of them are dead. I shared my thoughts on the matter in some of my latest post so be sure to check them out.
Thanks
Hey Dror,
ALN claims that they have beefed up the network again. Do you still use it or have any idea of the effectiveness to date in 2013.
Thanks!
Hi Howie, I don’t use ALN at the moment and I can’t say much about its effectiveness. It still runs but no one known when (and if) Google will drop the Axe again.
