Summary:

The Best High PR Blog Network.

Build My Rank is a high PR blog network but it is quite different from other blog networks. Instead of being able to post spanned content that will be distributed dozens of time across the network as most blog networks do, BuildMyRank will only accept unique content with your link or links inside and each post will only be submitted once to a single blog on the BuildMyRank network.

I should have tested Build My Rank (BMR) a long time ago but I guess late is better then never, right?

Build My Rank Overview

Build My Rank Review

Name: Build My Rank | BuildMyRank
Focus: High PR Blog Network
Price: $59/m – 5 domains

BuildMyRank Review

Build My Rank is a high PR blog network with blogs ranging from PR1 to PR7. The service is very similar to the well known LinkVana service but it is much more affordable in terms of price per link.

With BuildMyRank, you simply need to choose the number of domains you want to add to the system and to simply start adding your posts. Each post you submit should be at a minimum of 150 words and much be unique in order to be approved and published.

Video Overview

I thought about creating a video overview of the Build My Rank interface but since my dashboard is currently pretty empty and BuildMyRank have already create a pretty good video that shows everything you need to see I figured it would be better for you to watch their video.
Build My Rank Review

Build My Rank Downsides

Unique Content Only

You are going to need to use only unique content with BuildMyRank. It won’t work in any other way and believe me, I tried. I tried submitting the Ultra Spinnable Articles and Ultra Spinnalbe Minis but no go. It didn’t work and I tried combining different articles together in order to make them as unique as possible.

So, you are going to need to write 150 word blog posts in order get links or you will need to outsource the writing and that will cost you anywhere from $1.5 to $2.5 per link (depending on what outsourcing service you will use).

Guessing Game

When using Build My Rank you know you will get a link with PR but you don’t really know what PR it is going to be and which link will get it. There is a huge difference between a PR1 link and a PR6 link and Build My Rank will get you both but you will get much more PR1’s than PR6’s and you will not know which links will get high PR.

Domain PR

The PR you will see when you publish your post is not the PR of the page but the PR of the domain your post was published on. This means that after your post will drop from the homepage it won’t have the PR you will see but it will still get the link juice passed to you from the PR of the domain itself.

Build My Rank Upsides

High Quality Network

Due to the fact that BuildMyRank only has PR aged domains in the network and that they only accept truly unique content makes this network to be one of the highest quality blog networks available today.

Indexing Rates

With BuildMyRank you don’t need to worry about getting your published posts indexed as they will do that for you and you will get over 95% indexing rate so every link you build will provide you with link juice. This is unlike many other services and tools that will require you to make sure all the links you create get indexed with Google.

BuildMyRank automatically social bookmarks your posts and the high indexing rate is proof that their blog network is indeed of a very high quality (there is no way to get such a high indexing rate with anything less than great quality network).

Find Your Links

Even though Build My Rank will take care of getting your published posts indexed I assume that most users would like to see and get the URL of where their actual posts was published. BuildMyRank will take care of that for you with their cool little binocular feature.

All you need to do is click on the little binocular icon of the specific post you want to find the links for. From what I figured out what this button does is simply select a piece of text from the post, puts inside quotes and searches Google for it. Since every post you add to BuildMyRank has to be unique than you should only get in the results the actual post you published and it works.

I did do this to several of my published posts in order to check that they are really live and that the PR is correct and it is. All is goodBuild My Rank Review.

Outsourcing & Adding Writers

Since most Build My Rank users will outsource their post writing (I think), being able to add writers to your account and having them login and publish the posts themselves is a true time saver. If you are not going to write the posts yourself than Build My Rank is truly an fully automated link building system and you don’t need to log into the dashboard unless you want to check up on things.

Great Reputation

BuildMyRank is considered by many in the SEO community as the best link building service available today. I am still not sure of that but this was one of the main reasons I decided to review it and do a case study, spending a few hundreds dollars in the process in order to truly see if it is as good as people say.

BuildMyRank Case Study 1

In order to fully test Build My Rank and the results it could bring I decided to test the service by promoting 2 pages on my site. I also wanted to target very competitive keywords that I was already ranking quite high for in order to see if BMR can bring me to the top.

The keywords I decided to focus on are:

  1. Market Samurai – 50 posts submitted
  2. SENuke X – 50 posts submitted

I have written reviews for both products and I am ranking in the top 10 results for both.

Rankings Before

For the keyword Market Samurai I was ranking number 9 as of August 12th when I started posting to Build My Rank.

Build My Rank Review

For the keyword SENuke X I was ranking number 7 as of August 18th when I started posting the SENuke X posts to BuildMyRank.

Build My Rank Review

I will publish 50 posts for each keyword over a period of 2 weeks which means I will get 50 links for each keyword. I really want to see if BuildMyRank can provide me the boost in link juice that I need in order to move to the top of the rankings.

I have been ranking for these 2 keywords for quite some time now but it seems I got “stuck” at the bottom of the first page.

Rankings After

Here is the table tracking the rankings for both keywords. I also stopped creating links for these specific pages so I will be able to truly see the effect BuildMyRank will have as these will be the only links created for these pages over the coming month.

Market Samurai

All 50 posts have been submitted by August 18th and all where published and live on August 21st. All the posts have been indexed by the 24th. Here is the PR distribution of the posts:

  • PR1 – 13
  • PR2 – 21
  • PR3 – 10
  • PR4 – 6

As you can see most of the posts were published on PR1 and PR2 domains which is pretty understandable. I would have really liked to see a PR5 or PR6 posts as I know they are included in the network but I wasn’t lucky enough to get such a link.

The rankings have improved from #9 to #4 within a few day and than dropped back to #7. I should also mentioned that I made 3 times the amount of monthly Market Samurai sales during this week which was pretty awesome as it covered all the expenses I put into this case study (and left me some change).

As you can see the rankings kept improving and I am now ranking #3 for the keyword which is awesome. It is amazing how much difference it makes in the number of sales and leads I make now by just moving a few spots up in the rankings.

Build My Rank Review

SENuke X

All 50 posts have been submitted by the 21st and published by the 27th of August. All the post have been indexed by the 30th. Here is the PR distribution of the posts:

  • PR1 – 13
  • PR2 – 19
  • PR3 – 15
  • PR4 – 3

Again, no PR5, PR6 or PR7 and that is very disappointing. Also, as you can see in the ranking table above, I also gained 2 spots in the rankings going from position #7 to #5.

BuildMyRank Case Study 2

In the process of the first case study I decided to focus on 3 additional keywords on my blog so I started another case study and here are the keywords I focused on:

  • Article Marketing Robot – 25 posts submitted
  • Market Samurai Discount – 25 posts submitted
  • Bookmarking Demon – 10 posts submitted

Rankings Before

For the keyword Article Marketing Robot I was ranking number 11 as of August 20th when I started posting to Build My Rank. I used to rank as high as number 3 for this keyword (back in March) but stopped the link building and I dropped to as low as 27th and since the beginning of August I started link building again and got it all the way up to number 11 when I started posting to Build My Rank.

Build My Rank Review

For the keyword Market Samurai Discount I was ranking number 12 as of August 23rd when I started posting to Build My Rank. This is the first time I am targeting this keyword phrase and it is less competitive than the other keywords with far less searches.

Build My Rank Review

For the keyword Bookmarking Demon I was ranking number 6 as of August 23rd when I started posting to Build My Rank. I only submitted 10 posts for this keyword. It is also the only new page I created that I focused on here. It was published on August 12th and doesn’t have a proven track record with Google as the other keywords have. With that said, I managed to rank #4 for it by August 19th without any backlinking which really surprised me. I guess my domain does carry some power and authority as this is not a very easy keyword to rank for.

Article Marketing Robot

All 25 posts have been submitted by August 25th and all where published and live on August 28th. All but one have been indexed by August 30th. Here is the PR distribution of the posts:

  • PR1 – 12
  • PR2 – 8
  • PR3 – 3
  • PR4 – 2

Again, most of the posts are PR1 and PR2 and bottom line is that I didn’t move in the ranking at first. It seemed as if this didn’t work as I started at #11 and stayed there for quite sometime but as you can see from the table above, I am now ranked #4 which is a huge improvement from #11.

I am even more excited about this leap in rankings because I was stuck for a very long time at #10-#11 and didn’t really understood why as I was building links in order to move back into the first page. In addition, I also moved from #13 to #2 for article marketing robot review which I believe is also thanks to the BMR posts.

Build My Rank Review

Build My Rank Review

Market Samurai Discount

All 25 posts have been submitted by August 27th and all where published and live on August 31st. 9 posts haven’t been indexed as of August 31st. Here is the PR distribution of the posts:

  • PR1 – 9
  • PR2 – 9
  • PR3 – 6
  • PR4 – 0

I am started to think that I will not see any PR5 or higher and even the PR4 didn’t show up here for the first time. However, this is the keyword that has gained the most thanks to BuildMyRank going from #12 to #2 which is awesome and I think it shows that for less competitive keywords BuildMyRank does the job and does it great.

Build My Rank Review

Bookmarking Demon

All 10 posts have been submitted by the 25th and all were published and live on August 30th. All but 2 posts have been indexed by August 30th. Here is the PR distribution of the posts:

  • PR1 – 2
  • PR2 – 4
  • PR3 – 2
  • PR4 – 2

Only 10 posts were submitted so I don’t know if this enough to make any decisions by but you can see that again, nothing higher than PR4 and I gained 2 positions in the rankings, going from #6 to #3. Very few number of posts did manage to move me up in the rankings which is great and this is a fairly competitive keyword with a pretty hefty number of monthly searches.

Build My Rank Review

What we can see here is on of the main downsides of BMR, while I submitted 25 posts for Market Samurai Discount and got no PR4 links, I did get 2 PR4 links for Bookmarking Demon while only submitting 10 posts. It is really point and shoot as far as the PR links you will get and I don’t like the fact that I can’t control the PR of the links I am getting but I guess not all can be perfect. Even with no PR4 links I did manage to get a great ranking boost for the market samurai discount keyword.

Overall Case Study Numbers

BuildMyRank Page Rank Distribution (Updated September 28th)

Build My Rank Review

Bottom line for me is: Only 3 PR5 links, very few PR4 links and too many PR1 and PR2 links. I am kind of disappointed from the PR distribution but I can’t argue with the great overall results I got and the improvement in the rankings for all keywords.

A total of 238 posts and here is the percentage distribution of the links PR:

  • PR0 – 0.8%
  • PR1 – 29.9%
  • PR2 – 40.4%
  • PR3 – 22.3%
  • PR4 – 5.4%
  • PR5 -  1.2%

BuildMyRank Post Indexing Rate (Updated September 28th)

Build My Rank Review

Indexing rates are as high as they can be (99%) and this is great. This makes sure that every post you write and submit to BuildMyRank will be indexed and the link will provide value without the need to get it indexed yourself. This has great added value that should not be underestimated.

Build My Rank Updated Stats (January 2012)

I keep on using Build My Rank and without noticing I have almost 1000 posts published to the network so I figured I would share the current stats with you all:

PR Distribution

Build My Rank Review

  • PR0 – 156 – (16.8%)
  • PR1 – 250 – (26.9%)
  • PR2 – 298 – (32.1%)
  • PR3 – 162 – (17.4%)
  • PR4 – 48 – (5.1%)
  • PR5 – 11 – (1.1%)
  • PR6 – 2 – (0.2%)

As you can see, there are way too many PR0 and very few PR5 and higher. 50% of the links are PR2/PR3. After seeing this I got to say it was a little disappointing but since BMR works and proved that time and again over the past few months, I don’t really care but I would like to see less PR0 and more PR4 and higher.

Build My Rank Review

Index Rate

The indexing rate of the posts you publish on BuildMyRank is pretty much 100%. Out of 927 posts only 5 haven’t been indexed (0.05%). That is pretty awesome and it makes sure that every post you submit to the network is going to be indexed and the links is going to count.

Having such a high indexing rate is really awesome and is a must for such a service in my opinion since the cost per link in BMR is much higher than in any other blog network you really want each of the links to count.

BuildMyRank Review – Conclusion

If I would need to summarize the difference between Build My Rank and all the other blog networks it would be quality vs. quantity. While other similar services might focus on providing you with large amount of low quality links, Build My Rank does the opposite. You will get high quality, in context links from sites with PR1 to PR7 but as can be seen from my case studies, after submitting 230+ posts, the highest PR I got was PR5 so I don’t know where those PR6 and PR7 links are and how many posts will you need to submit in order to get one of those.

You can pretty much see exactly what I got from BuildMyRank thanks to the case studies I conducted and I am pretty sure you can figure out if it will work for you or not. I personally found it to be pretty great as I got improved rankings for all my keywords which also translated in more sales that the entire testing period was well worth it for me.

Final Verdict

I still don’t have a final verdict as I want to conduct a third case study in which I will focus on other keywords, outside of this blog and see the results I will get. I will of course keep you updated about it as I will get some data. For targeting highly competitive keywords that are already ranking in the first page of Google, I am not sure BuildMyRank is the best solution as I am not very impressed with the results I got. If I would have remained at #4 for Market Samurai I would probably change my mind but I didn’t, so not sure I will keep using it to targets such keywords.

After testing several keywords on this blog, the ones in the above case studies, and a few more keywords on other blogs I own I can surly say that BuildMyRank delivers on its promise and it is considered to be as one of the best link building services for very good reason.

I managed to see improvement for both highly competitive keywords that I was already ranking in the first page of Google for and for less competitive keywords that I never targeted before and didn’t have any first page rankings for.

BuildMyRank Free Trial

You can start using BuildMyRank for free thanks to their free trial offer in which you will be able to create 10 free links. Even though 10 links might not sound like much, if you will promote the right keyword you can see great results. Just don’t focus on something too competitive and be sure it is already indexed and ranking in Google in order to really see some improvement.

In any case, I would recommend you test BuildMyRank with a little more than their 10 free links as that is simply not enough to really see how good this service is and how it can help you and if you will decide to test it out for real than I have a bonus that will save you both time and money.

Build My Rank ReviewBuildMyRank Bonus

One of the biggest drawbacks of BuildMyRank for those that hate writing and/or are simply not good at it is the fact that you will need to write unique posts in order to get them approved and published.

It is actually the best upside of the service since it assures the high quality content on the blogs thus giving you great link power with every link you create but as I said, for those of us that hate writing or simply are not good at it this can be a problem.

The Bonus

The bonus I have for you is 10 free posts written and submitted to your account for you. All you will need to do is to fill the form below and I will email all the details on how you should go about getting these 10 posts written and submitted to your new BuildMyRank account.

Hi, I found your site from a testimonial on the thesisawesome, com site. Nice clean appearance you have, I ‘m getting tempted to buy the skin!
I was a member of BMR for quite a while, and I also never saw any of the higher PR sites in the network, but have to say it is one very well run system.
I have been putting my efforts into doing guest posting for link building purposes, and though pleased with the results, wonder whether a combination of the two methods would be beneficial.

Hi Bruce,

This skin is really awesome and I love it :) I personally think that guest blogging is more about getting traffic than about SEO and gaining quality backlinks. There is only so much guest blogging you can do and it will only bring very limited number of links so I personally think combining it with a tool such as BMR would be great and will surly prove to be more productive.

Thanks.

Hi,
Great post reviewing this network! The second test you did really surprised me with going the extra mile, great idea!
I have signed up for the free trial period(with your link :) and tried to add my site and I don’t really understand what to do:
1) The site that they ask to add, is it my money site?
2) You can create links using their system, and it keeps asking to create links with the same name of the page, what’s that?
Thanks,
And have an “Easy fast” :)

Dave October 7, 2011 at 12:45

Hi Elad,

1. You should only add your money sites to this network. The links are high quality and are limited by the number of domains you can add (depending on your membership level) so don’t waste those precious spots on any other sites. Only your money sites.
2. Didn’t really understand what you meant here. If you can explain this again it would be better so that I would understand what you mean.

Thanks for the great feedback and it sure will be easy for me (since I keep eating :) ).

Thanks for the great feedback

Dave,

Execellent review and informative case studies – thank you.

I’m just in the process of trying to set out what is going to be my linking strategy for the next few months to build some money sites to the top and this has made me rethink quite a bit.

I’m bookmarking this review and if I go with BMR – i’ll happily sign up through your link as a thank you for your efforts!

Hi Rufus,

Thanks for the great feedback. Feels great to know my reviews are helping and providing value :)

I can only recommend you include BMR in your link building plan. It is very powerful and can make a big impact for low and medium competition keywords. I can say BMR is a big part in my link building process now and I love it and the results it brings.

Thanks.

Great review and really appreciate it. I’ve been sitting on the fence for a while and now with your review I might be moving sooner rather than later. My question is: will BMR work for adsense sites? Also will I receive a notice that you commented on this or do I need to check back? I hope I get notified because I’ve bookmarked so many sites not sure I will find this again. Sorry

Reply

Dave October 22, 2011 at 08:30

Hi Robert, BMR should work for any type of site (except for gambling and porn) and I think it could work great for AdSense sites as it can really have a major impact on the rankings if you go after low competition keywords.

I tried many different services and the price varied among the different providers. I have a VA now that does the writing for me full time among other things. If you want, I can give you contact information for someone that provides BMR writing service for under $1. Just contact me using the contact page and ask for that.

Hi, I found your site while searching for information on Article Ranks, but I feel as though I’ve stumbled on a gold mine! Thanks so much for the time and effort you put into conducting your reviews and posting so much detail on each result. This really is priceless.

I’ve only ever built sites for others, never promoted them myself, but am just starting to create my own network of sites. I was initially going to begin with Article Ranks but having read your review of BMR I’m not sure which is the best approach.

Do have any experience with Article Marketing Automation and 3 Way Links? These are two others that I have on my short list.

Thanks again.

Reply

Dave November 18, 2011 at 11:59

Hi Jayne,

I wouldn’t go for Article Marketing Automation, there are better networks to join. I don’t know much about 3 way links since I used the service a while ago and can’t really say if its good or not since I haven’t really tested it lately.

BMR is very different than the other blog networks and will require you to get original content but the links will be of high quality. Since you can join Authority Link Network and ArticleRanks for free by adding your own PR domains I would recommend you do that and also join BMR to get the high quality links that can make a huge impact in the SERPS.

Thanks for the great feedback :)

I’m considering BMR and I really appreciate this review Dave. I have one question. I have a website with 94 different products. Each product has its own landing page and thus I need to get backlinks for all 94 pages. I can only afford 1 BMR writer that can submit 100 BMR postings weekly. My question is: What would be better?

1) Getting 1 link weekly for each landing page? I’m not sure if that will have any benefit. But then again, it may have a positive impact on the entire site as a whole faster than the other options below.

2) Promoting just the home page with 100 links weekly? Maybe this will make the site into an authority site?

3) Promoting just a few pages weekly and the home page. This seems logical but will take the longest.

What would you suggest? I’m beginning to think BMR only works if you have only a few pages/products to promote.

Thanks
Vin

Dave December 5, 2011 at 23:19

Hi Vincent,

It’s kind of hard to answer without knowing the site in question but I think option 1 will not provide any value. 1 link per week is simply not enough in my opinion.

Option 2 will be good if you want to get your homepage to rank for some keywords but if you want your specific products to rank for specific keywords I would suggest you promote those pages with their respected keywords.

Since you are only starting with BMR I would recommend you test it out. I would select 5 or 10 landing pages and submit 10 or 20 posts to each page focusing on the main keyword you want each page to rank for. I don’t know the level of competition for the keywords in question and I don’t know your site and what link building you did before but doing this for 2-3 weeks should provide you with some results. It will also allow to learn how many posts make the effect you want on your landing pages.

Basically, I recommend you test it out in the first 2-3 weeks in order to learn what it takes to move a landing page up the rankings.

Hope it makes sense and that I helped in some way :)

Hi Dave. In the past it’s been beaten into my head that you should have articles of 400-500 words minimum for Google to crawl and anything less would likely not provide much link value.

So you’re saying in all the tests you ran for this article here you outsourced for articles to be written which were of about 150-200 words and you saw this kind of ranking increase?

Just verifying that because that’s pretty cool.

Hey Dave..

Another great review I have to say ;)

I was wondering… it seems that even if you are trying to rank low to medium kw’s with any of these article submitters that you have reviewed on this site… it takes you a good 4-6 weeks before you see your links getting counted and actually taking effect on your rankings… would you agree? It seems that way with me anyways…

I think I am going to try BMR also… as I want to include quality links on my linking profile… and I think BMR will do the job. I also signed up to UAW and I find that it gives you mass distribution.. and the quality seems pretty good as I use USA with it too.

Would you agree?

Thanks man…

Dave January 2, 2012 at 22:20

Thanks Sean, glad you liked it.

Getting keywords ranked usually takes sometime even with an authority and aged blog and I think that 4-6 weeks is a pretty fast and depends a lot on the keywords you go after and the level of competition these keywords have.

I do agree that BMR will provide you with some high quality links and you can actually use UAW to link to the high PR blog posts you will create with BMR to pass even more juice.

Just an idea.

I see… ;)

Its just an idea… something I might try… I have tried that sort of tiered linking before and I wasnt to happy with the results.. Do you try this? Or do you just link build to your money pages?

As regards the time it takes to rank your keywords… I have to agree alright… whether they are easy or medium keywords to rank and you are using article marketing along with high pr links, its still going to take 4-6 weeks… sometimes 8 weeks before you see the magic happen.. I thought for easy to medium keywords, they would rank faster coz of the lack of competition, but I find thats not the case… it still takes time before these easier keywords rank the way you want them too with good link building methods. Its almost like they have to have a few weeks of a stick rate before those links become effective and push your keywords up the ranks…

Do you find this also?

Thanks Dave…

I do use some tired linking. I don’t link to my money pages from all the various services. It is good to have these buffer sites in place.

About the ranking time, as I said it varies according to different factors but 4-6 weeks is pretty accurate average. When I use EMD’s it usually takes much less and sometimes I get to the first page in the first week or two.

But like I said, there are many factors that go into the the time it takes a site to rank.

Yeah I get ya on that ranking time alright… you are usually talking 4-6 weeks for your links to get counted and for them to actually move up in the ranks…

Thanks Dave ;)

Very nice review, Dave. However, I wonder that have you considered this’s a long term link building service without any risk? Something like Google will punish the network and so on…

Reply

Dave Baker January 25, 2012 at 12:34

Hi Jenni, I don’t think about that since I can’t really control what Google will be doing. I stick to what works for me now and make sure to be dynamic enough to make the changes when they will be needed. With that said, BMR only accepts unique content so I would say it is much safer to use than other blog networks that accept spun content.

Great, however, if all of these network sites belong to Build My Rank Team, so, your SEO effort (and your money too) will rely on them? What will happen if they closed their network ??

I really don’t know what would happen if they closed the network. The links might still be live or they may delete the blogs and all the content with the links. I really don’t know but I also don’t think much about that. They provide a great service as it is right now and it provide me with me great results.

If you want to control your own SEO efforts than you can build a similar blog network of your own but that will take time, money and a little experience to get it right. That is actually a great idea but not everyone can go ahead and built such a network for themselves.

Wow what an excellent write up, I am currently using Build My Rank but have only submitted around 20 posts for the main domain I am looking to rank. I think I need to step up the post writing to get my moneys worth.

Hi Dave.

I have a newbie question for you.

“Instead of being able to post spanned content that will be distributed dozens of time across the network as most blog networks do, BuildMyRank will only accept unique content with your link or links inside and each post will only be submitted once to a single blog on the BuildMyRank network.”

If I distribute spunned article (trough a blog network that allows spunned article) and that article will posted multible times, say 30 times. And I just have one link to my site. I will get 30 links from 30 “different” articles.

But with BuildMyRank the article will only be posted once ( unique content ) and I will only get one link.

If this is the case, how can BuildMyRank even stand a chance?

I compares and stands a chance thanks to the link quality. Since BMR only accepts unique content their network is of higher quality than the other blog networks that accept spun content. Higher quality means links with higher PR and a very high index rate (99%) so each link you build actually counts.

I personally cobmine both type of links and network and I don’t recommend to anyone to rely on one type of links or service.

Hi Dave –

Been reading your blog for awhile now. You are definitely always my go-to source for info and case studies. :)

Question for ya’:

If I chose to join BMR, how does their 5 domain service work in regards to internal pages.

For example, if my site was bluewidgets.com, and I wanted to target the home page and then 4 internal pages, ie bluewidgets.com/page2, bluewidgets.com/page3, bluewidgets.com/page4, bluewidgets.com/page5…etc. Does that count as my 5 domains or still only 1 domain and I can target 4 separate other domains and all their internal pages?

Hi Noel, the 5 domain limit is for 5 unique domains so you can link to as many pages as you want on 5 different domains.

Hey Dave I mean to say that If I build Links Through BMR or SEOLM(Recently Read your Great Review) and then If I Make AMR Links To Those High Quality BMR or SEOLM Links, then how much it is beneficial to me?? Please Also Tell Me Your Personal Experiences Related To This If Their is any!!

Reply

Dave Baker February 12, 2012 at 02:20

OK, now I understand what you mean.

Since BMR and SEOLM both have very high indexing rates there is not real need to build links to these posts as they will get indexed by themselves. But, building links can also provide more links juice to this links and that could be a good idea. I would recommend you only take the posts on BMR that are with high PR (3 or more) and create links to them.

I usually do that myself, picking some high PR posts that I have on BMR and using them as 1st tier sites aiming links at them from various sources which AMR could be a great one for this purpose.

Hi Dave,

How many posts do you recommend for BMR to rank a keyword in a micro niche website? 10-15 posts? since they are good quality backlinks. As you said, not all backlinks are created equal.

Thanks

I never answer these type of questions because there isn’t one answer. Just try and see how it work. Create 5-10-15 links and see what effect they have and work from there.

Test as you go. That is the best answer I can give you :)

What people dont understand with BMR is they are spending TIME and MONEY creating good content they have no control over, google can come along tomorrow and zap all your work down the drain if they decide to go after the blog sites.

If you are happy to submit a 150 word post to BMR each day why not simply post it on your own site – that is right, create some unique content on your own website – yikes I never thought of that I hear you say, create something decent on my own site rather than the usual promotion junk traps we all fall into.

Within 1 year you will have over 360 pages of unique content on your own site that YOU have control over, your little 10-15 page affiliate junk site is suddenly a 360 page monster which will rank well without begging for backlinks.

Quite a thought, no more warrior special offers rubbish, no more time wasted article spinning ect.

Allow me to disagree.

What you (and many others post Panda) fail to understand is that if you will keep living in fear of what Google might do next you will end up not doing anything (as far as SEO goes). Why would I write 150 words posts on my blog? Just so I will have a lot of unique content? What will that give me?

Do you really think just because you have tons of unique content on a blog than visitors will flood it? Even in the slim chance it might happen, it will take months if not longer…

To answer your question:-
“Do you really think just because you have tons of unique content on a blog than visitors will flood it? – err yes actually because you will have something valuable and useful.

“Even in the slim chance it might happen, it will take months if not longer…” – months great :)

So you are afraid of creating a decent site in case Google will punish you for your competence but you are quite happy to create a poor quality site in the belief that Google will reward you for your incompetence.

Your logic is interesting to say the least.

Dror Bekerman February 16, 2012 at 21:11

Unique content doesn’t mean it is valuable and useful. Those are totally different things and I hope you can see the difference.

I have no idea what made you think that i’m afraid of creating any type of site and I would think that the content I have on this blog is pretty useful and valuable (for some) but if I wouldn’t work hard to promote it and get top Google rankings I wouldn’t get the traffic I am getting.

The fact that I am using link building services to promote my sites has nothing to do with the quality and uniqueness of the content I publish on the sites themselves. Link building and SEO is a valid method and there are “white” ways of doing it, “black” ways of doing it and “grey” ways of doing it. But it is important to do it in my opinion and I don’t think that building a site and filling it up with unique content will help you make a good living online. Did you happen to build such a site and can provide me with an example of how good it works for you?

hi dave few questions

if you ever decide to quit bmr do you keep all the links you have created? when you create an account can you promote 5 domains then when you have finished promoting one of them replace it with another domain or are your always stuck with your 5 domains?

thanks

Dror Bekerman February 19, 2012 at 12:44

Hi Jason,

The links remain even if you cancel your membership.

You can switch the domains whenever you want. As long as you don’t have any scheduled posts for a specific domain you can replace it.
