“Guru” Trust
The internet marketing world is filled with so called “gurus” and it should only take a few weeks in this world (if not less) for you to realize how hard it is to truly find someone that actually cares about his subscribers and focuses on providing valuable content and not just making another sale.
One of the most important things I learned since first getting into the whole internet marketing world is that finding good marketers, or so called “gurus” could have a very big impact on your online success.
Being on the right email list can truly make a huge difference for you and your online business. Just the same as being on the wrong lists can have the same impact only in a very negative aspect.
In order to achieve that you will need to weed out the bad marketers or so called “gurus” and unsubscribe from their lists as soon as possible and create your own special list of top internet and affiliate marketers that you should FOLLOW, LEARN from and also PROMOTE their products to your own email list.
The reason I am using quotes around the word Guru is because the truly good marketers that you want to be on their list will never think of themselves as Gurus. They all will see it in a negative way as that is the way most of us see it, right?
I actually wrote a complete guest post at FamouseBloggers.net about how to know which marketers you should weed out and which ones you should keep. I recommend you read it.
In that guest post I also named the “gurus” that are on my good list and the ones I can strongly recommend to anyone in the internet & affiliate marketing world.
If you want to learn more about the “gurus” I trust than simply check out the posts I made for each one (the list is no specific order)

I totally agree with you about Shane Melaugh— his stuff is REALLY solid and VERY user friendly.
I actually found out about him through Dr. Andy Williams.
He is another very down to earth, no fluff kind of guy. However, I think his stuff may be for those who have a little experience… but I always look forward to his newsletters.
I actually found out about him from Adam Short… and I like Adam as well. Though I thought his course had some “gaps” for a complete beginner. But he has some REALLY great training and creates very easy to follow videos. Not really someone I would sign-up for his newsletters though.
Matt Carter is a definite!! Very down to earth as well and really practical, useful content.
Mark Ling is worth noting I think but I feel like a lot of his material has some ‘gaps’ in it as well, and it isn’t necessarily for the complete beginner.
This is a GREAT idea for an article!!
Hi Lance,
Shane is really awesome and it is amazing to see what he achieved in the past year. I don’t know anything about Andy Williams and can’t say much about Adam Short also.
Matt Carter does seem to be a great marketer and he has a great blog with plenty of useful content. Mark Link got the X from me when he promoted a few crappy products one after the other but it seems he has one of the biggest and most responsive email lists in the business as he always shows up at the top of affiliate contest rankings for almost any product launch.
Thanks for the great comment Lance!
Andy Williams is one of the good guys. He is recommended above by Lance and I can confirm he never sends you any junk.
He has some solid software and only promotes the people that he has worked with.
Shane is another genuine guy and he is the first that I know who has actually made a video slating some of the junk products out there.
Keep up the good work.
Kevin
I think you have missed sean donahoe
Thanks for sharing! I will check Sean Donahoe out.
I probably missed a few more great and trustworthy marketers and this is why I asked for my readers to share names with me
Thanks again.
How about Kim Roach?
Good question Cody. I don’t really know since I wasn’t on her list for very long so I can’t say anything about her (good or bad).
