Unique Article Wizard Live Case Study
After writing my Unique Article Wizard Review I decided to put action where my words are and use that specific post on my blog for a live case study.
I will be promoting my Unique Article Wizard Review post only with submission made using Unique Article Wizard. I will do this at the beginning without any other link building and according to my progress I might add some additional link building methods as the competition for this specific keyword phrase is pretty strong and I am not sure if I will be able to get a top 3 ranking using only one link building method.
Search Volume
There is a very good reason I want to rank high for both of these keywords and here is why:
As you can see in the screenshot I took from the Google Keyword Tool there are 3,600 search made each month for the keyword Unique Article Wizard and that is exact match (marked with green). This means that about 4,000 search are made each month for these 2 keywords and that is a lot of traffic and I would love to get a piece of that, especially when I personally use this great service and I feel I can contribute quite a bit to anyone looking to start using it.

Submission Report
Unique Article Wizard Submissions
Here I will let you all know exactly how many submissions I made. To get things started I submitted 5 articles to Unique Article Wizard with not limit on the number of submissions so each article will be submitted to all available and related directories and website on the day I scheduled.
Just to remind you that I am only using the Ultra Spinnable Articles for this live case study and I used 5 different articles about Article Marketing for the first submissions. Current Rankings
This is where I will keep updating my rankings over the coming weeks and months (hopefully it will not take months 
).
I will be keeping track of my rankings using 2 rank tracking tools:
- Rank Checker – This is a great Free Search Engine Ranking Checking Tool for Firefox created by SEOBook.
- Market Samurai – Market Samurai has a Rank Tracker module (which is only available if you purchase the full version).
In the following table I will update my ranking over time. The left number shown before the slash (/) is the ranking I get using the Rank Checker and the right number that will show after the slash (/) is the ranking I get using Market Samurai Rank Tracker Module.
Update: Since I am seeing that Rank Checker is not really showing the actual rankings and Market Samurai is indeed showing the true rankings, I will stop using Rank Checker and will only post the rankings I get from Market Samurai Rank Tracker Module. As of 5th of November, I am only posting the rankings I get from Market Samurai.

Update November 23rd
Since my rankings are pretty steady for the past 7-10 days I am getting the feeling that I will need to start using additional link building methods in order to keep advancing in the rankings. This is not a big surprise as the keyword I am targeting is pretty competitive and I think I achieved great results using only one linking method so far.
What more will I do in the coming 2 weeks as far as link building:
- Press Release
- Web 2.0 Links – I have some established Web 2.0 properties and I will add posts with links to them.
- SEnuke – I will take out the heavy gun and start using SEnuke to build some powerful links. I will also be using the Profile Nuke in order to get so additional link building power and I will make sure to index as many of the profile links as possible.
Update December 2nd
My plan from November 23rd had to be delayed as I decided on a whim to fly to Barcelona on the 25th and stay there to watch the super classico between Barcelona and Real Madrid on the 29th and boy am I happy about that. The game was amazing and will go down in the history as one of the biggest super classico games.
I only returned on December 1st so I didn’t really had any time to implement the new link building methods I mentioned and as a results my rankings dropped a little.
I am planning to start the new link building methods this week and I will keep you updated on the results I get. I also decided to sign up again with Article Marketing Automation (AMA) and start posting the Ultra Spinnable Articles to that network as I think it can be a great addition to my link building campaign.
Update December 9th
After signing up again with AMA I realized that a new limit was introduced to the system. They only allow 40 live articles and that doesn’t really work for me as I can submit many more articles thank to the Ultra Spinnable Articles so I decided to cancel my subscription and I signed up with My Article Network (MAN). It is basically the exact same service as both AMA and MAN use the same blog network but MAN doesn’t have any limits.

Update January 24th
It has been a long time since I updated this post and I am sorry about that. Staying focused in this business is really hard and it is without a doubt one of the biggest obstacles I am facing and since I was doing so many other things for the past month and a half I didn’t really put the effort needed in this case study.
As you can see from the table above I did manage to get both key phrases to the first page of Google (both ranked 10th) and added about 200 links (which shows I didn’t really put much into this
).
I am going to focus on this case study in the coming week and trying new stuff in order to see if I can start moving up in the rankings.
Update February 2nd
I decided to focus my efforts in this case study to only one link building method at a time in order to fully understand if it is helpful or not. The past week I decided to use Unique Article Wizard submissions again and in high volume. All I did for the past week was submitting 7 articles using the Ultra Spinnable Articles and scheduling the submissions over 7 days and submitting to 300 directories every day.
You can see the scheduled dates in the screenshot above and you can also see that one article is still in the submission process.
The results are pretty good in my opinion and proves that UAW can and will move you up in the rankings. From ranking #10 for both keywords I moved to #5 for Unique Article Wizard Review and #6 for Unique Article Wizard. The number of backlinks jumped from 1538 to 2351 which a 65% jump in one week. The most important thing to know is that I only worked on this for a total of 15 minutes submitting the articles and scheduling them.

Case Study Closed
I am glad to say that this Unique Article Wizard Case Study is closed. I really don’t think I will be able to overtake the #1 position for my main keyword (and it wasn’t my initial goal). I wanted to get to #2 for my main keyword (unique article wizard) and I did achieve that goal. I am also ranking #2 for unique article wizard review and #1 for the keyword unique article wizard discount.

When you do multiple submissions to UAW do you keep doing the same categories or different categories each time?
If you do the same category aren’t you just getting the same sites linking to you all the time?

I do try to vary the categories in order to get the most submissions I can. Don’t worry about getting more links from the same sites because even if you use the same categories but different articles those links will still count and will help you.

I just wanted to re-cap as I got a little lost.
1. You submitted 5 articles (each article with 3 variations) to UAW in Novemeber. Left it for about two weeks and came back to view the results.
2. Decided to add more types of link building such as PR release, web 2.0 and forum profiles…. but did not get round to doing that.
3. Signed up with man…. how many articles did you submit to that? Did you even use it?
4. Decided you wanted to stick with UAW only and submitted 7 articles over 7 days. That was in February… did you do anything else as regards to link building between February and September when you actually achieved a position 2 for your terms? If you stayed focused… do you think you would have achieved these results quicker?
Well done on this case study mate… By the looks of it.. it took you about 11 months to achieve this position… right?

I don’t really remember how many article I submitted to MAN but I know it didn’t have a real impact so I stopped using it at some point.
I got to #2 in July so it took 9 months and if I would focused more I am sure I could have got those rankings much faster but late is better than never, right?

Yeah… I see how you did this… So it was basically just article marketing that you used? Primarily with UAW. No other links such as Homepage backlinks or anything like that?
I am going to promote a new page of mine and I am going to use USA and UAW to achieve a top 3 position for my keyword phrase. I will submit an article every other day for about 10-14 days and leave it for a couple of weeks and see how I get on. If I need more power… I will do another run of submitions over a 10-14 day period for every other day.
I am aiming to see my top 5 in a 2-3 month period.
That should be enough work… the keyword term has the same competition levels as UAW keyword.

Nope, I didn’t use any homepage backlinks or something similar and as powerful as that.
I would actually recommend you use other methods and not just UAW. If you are doing this as a case study than that’s OK but if you really want to rank it than I think you should try using other methods and not just UAW. It will allow you to get your results faster and I wouldn’t recommend using only one type or method of link building.

By the way… out of interest… when you do reach the position that you want from your keyword, do you still backlink heavily? I know you have to continue link building.. but what sort of maintenance do you do?

I keep building links but not heavily as you described. Just keep adding some links on a constant basis and check the rankings from time to time to see where you are.
I kind of neglected some keywords here on my blog and I lost my #2 rankings but I will get it back sooner or later

just wondering if you varied up your backlink anchor text with the UAW case study. I seem to be running into the over-optimization penalty from Google when I do not add in anchor texts that are nonsense or just the URL. How do you avoid that from happening? I even got the “penalty” using multiple exact anchor texts that I wanted to rank for with the same page….any tips on how to avoid that Google algorithm penalty?
Also, were you able to build thousands of links in a few months because you already had an aged domain?

Hi Robert, how do you know that you are penalized for that specific thing? I would assume that is a guess since you don’t really have anyway of knowing why Google is penalizing you, right?
The case study was done a long time ago and no, I didn’t very my anchor text when I did it but today I would recommend you do so. It can’t hurt but it can surly help so there is no good reason not to very your anchor text.
I don’t think that having the aged domain helped me build thousands of links. You can do that for any domain including new ones but for new sites it might not be the best thing to do

My question is- How many submissions do you recommend for UAW to rank say 5 keywords in a micro niche website of 4-5 months old? Should I try to rank these 5 keywords of the same domain at once? Need your advice.
Jaime, test as you go. There is no problem to promote several keywords at once. I can’t tell you how many submissions you will need but I can say that i’m not sure UAW alone will work. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. You need to diversify your link building but i’m sure you already know that.

Just want to ask you a question on UAW. How exactly did you get 500 submissions or close to for each article you submitted? I seem to be getting a max of 150-170 for each article I submit, and I’ve submitted over 10. I also need to know if you used the pinger or indexer for your articles, or did you let them naturally index in google.

Hi Alan, I used to get 500-600 submissions for every article almost a year ago when I started with UAW. Those numbers don’t exist anymore and 150-300 are the current numbers and they vary according to the article uniqueness and the categories you choose.

I stumbled onto your site accidentally and read all your case studies with great interest. I have one question for you. Since manual backlinking is a huge headache, I have decided to automate it at least partially. I have to start with decided to buy AMR since it has only a one-time fee, unlike UAW. But of late I am heaing that AMR has lost much of its punch and is no longer that effective. Should I still go for AMR and then slowly add UAW and others like SE Nuke as my earnings improve. Pl advise.

AMR has lost some of its power and in any case, no one tool or service will be enough to get good rankings and keep them. I know that the one-time payment is a big plus for AMR over others services but don’t make decisions based on that alone. You can get AMR and use free blog networks until you will have a bigger budget. ArticleRanks and Authority Link Network can be used for free to some degree and you should look into that.
